After leaving the civil engineering industry Jeremy Waterman joined the fledgling personal computing industry in the early days of the Apple and IPM PC's.
He started a company that marketed and distributed computer hardware and software in Africa including Computer Associates micro products.
Since 1989 the company has focussed on Accpac and its affiliated products and has built Accpac into the market leader for business application software for the mid-market in Africa.
Since the acquisition by Sage Group plc., Jeremy has managed the Sage mid-market division in Africa – focussing on Sage Accpac, Sage X3 as well as the Sage CRM products.
Jeremy has a B.Sc. and MBA degree from the University of Witwatersrand.
Steven is a co-founder of Softline and the Managing Director of Sage Pastel. In his role as Managing Director, Steven is responsible for the strategic direction and on-going growth of Sage Pastel as it continues to strengthen its position in South Africa and expand internationally.
Steven’s extensive experience, combined with his in-depth knowledge and understanding of providing mission critical financial systems to the SME business community has been central to guiding Pastel’s strategy. Steven has a ‘hands-on’ pragmatic and operational approach to managing the business and regularly spends time in each of the business’ critical areas – research & development, sales, and operations.
Steven holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Accounting from WITS University and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
Anton has extensive industry experience and an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of the payroll and HR software industry.
Anton qualified as a CA in 1994 after which he worked at Deloitte’s in Toronto. In July of 1995 he was appointed Financial Manager of VIP Payroll; in 1998 he became Managing Director of Softline VIP Payroll.
More recently Anton has taken over the role of Managing Director for Sage Pastel Payroll in addition to his role as MD of Sage VIP. As the head of the Sage Payroll Centre of Intelligence he is tasked to provide strategic vision and focus to Payroll and HR businesses within South Africa and Africa.
Charles is the founding partner of Netcash which was established in 2002.
In his role as Managing Director, Charles is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of Sage Netcash within the Sage Group. His key focus is directing his team in the development and management of the various transactional services offered by Sage Netcash.
In addition, Charles will assist the divisions of Sage with integration of the Sage Netcash services into the stable of existing Sage products. He brings extensive experience and in-depth knowledge in the fields of internet based business solutions and transactional services.
Charles is a Business Analyst with more than 20 years’ experience in providing information solutions to both SMEs and tier one companies.
Charles co-founded Alchemex in 2001, with Darryl Smith and Gary Boddington, with a vision to provide simple business intelligence to the SMEs of the world. His experience lies in delivering integrated business intelligence solutions to end users by unleashing the power of Excel, the universal language of business and accountants, as a reporting tool.
Sage Alchemex has been working with Sage companies worldwide since 2005 and was acquired by Sage in October 2011 to further leverage the install base opportunities presented by the Sage group.
Charles holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science and Economics.
